Today was my first Saturday selling at the Athens Farmer's Market - and it was quite a step up from selling at the little Farmer's Market in Jefferson the last two years. Lots of vendors, lots of people, and more sales than I am used too. What more could you ask for in a Farmer's Market? There are a few more regulations and expenses than in Jefferson, but I guess that just comes with being a bigger market...
If you live near Athens, stop by sometime and say hello. The market takes place in Bishop Park from 8:00-12:00 every Saturday morning until the beginning of December (although I won't be there all of those Saturdays). While you're there you can find fresh produce and other goodies, not to mention goat milk soap, goat milk lotion, and beeswax lip balm :)
