What's Next? Packaging Soap - Goat Milk Soap, Athens, GA

Remember that soap we made a few weeks ago?  Well, it has been six weeks, and the soap is ready for use!  So what's next?  If you need the soap for immediate use, just grab it off the shelf and enjoy (I am enjoying one of those bars right now).  But what if you want to store it, give it as a gift, or sell it?  That's where the packaging comes in.
If you are going to be selling the soap or giving it as a gift, you will want to label it, including all pertinent information such as name and ingredients.  Just type it up on the computer and print.

With molded bars I usually package them in clear plastic bags to show off the design of each bar.  The soap easily fits in 4x6 self-sealing bags, found in the jewelry/craft sections of stores such as Hobby Lobby and Walmart.  So grab your soap, grab your labels grab your bags, and you're ready to begin! (Tip: it helps if you don't spill all the bags on the floor...)
Stick a bar of soap in a bag, add a label, and your soap is all ready to go:
Once it's packaged you can store it, give it away, or sell it.  You can use creativity too, and package it with complimentary lotion and lip balm in a gift basket for a great gift.
